MTA (Monthly Treasury Average)
The Monthly Treasury Average, also known as 12 Month Moving Average Treasury index (MAT) is a relatively new ARM index. This index is the twelve month average of the yields of U.S. Treasury securities adjusted to a constant maturity of 1 year.
The MTA is calculated by averaging the previous twelve monthly values of the One Year CMT. Because this index is a yearly average, it is more stable than the 1-Year CMT index.
Option ARM Mortgage Rates MTA:
- 1.25% Start Rate with a 30 or 40 Year Amortization
- Deferred Interest loan amounts up to $1,800,000
